Farewell
"Here, at the shores of Middle-Earth, comes an end to our Fellowship. I will not now say: do not weep, for not all tears are an evil."

In memory of...
"Here is set 'G' for Galadriel," she said, placing the box in Sam's shaking hands. "But also it may stand for 'garden' in your tongue. In this box there is earth from my orchard, and such blessing, as Galadriel has still to bestow on it. It will not keep you on your road, nor defend you against any peril: but if you keep it and see your home again at last, then perhaps it may reward you. Though should you find all barren and laid waste, there will be few gardens in Middle-Earth that will blossom like your garden, if you sprinkle this earth there. Then you may remember Galadriel, and catch a glimpse far off L?rien, that you have seen only in our winter. For our spring and our summer are gone by, and they will never be seen on earth again, save in memory."
"In the willow-meads of Tasarinan I walked in the spring..."
"It may be that I can unlock my jewels, but never again shall I make their like; and if I must break them, I shall break my heart"
"...But maybe when the One has gone, the Three will fail, and many fair things will fade and be forgotten. That is my belief."

A means to an end
You can't be insincere as well as passionate. When you're doing something out of passion, there is no success, but most importantly, no failure.
Why be sincere if you're anyway going to have success based on the end? Why be sincere, when insincere means get you there easier? Why take the trouble if there's an easy way?

Owned and owned hard
ad altentium fur mein - Owned and owned hard (had to google it out)
Ecce homo - Behold the man.
Carpe Diem - Sieze the opportunity (literally, seize the day)
Deus Ex Machina - can't explain it
nihilist - one who doesn't see meaning in life.

I don't deserve you
You heart is golden, uncorrupted even by all the corruption around you. Your life is simple, simple to the point of incompatibility. The competitiveness of the world around you does not stop you from truly being a friend. You are alone, without companions, with no respect shown to you.
I am unworthy of you. Somehow, Ive been unable to show you how much of a person you truly are.
But of course, me calling myself unworthy is just an excuse for not being your friend: the truth is, your simplicity is incompatible with my flambuoyance.

Making an impression
A dialogue, illustrating an erm, disturbing erm, reality?
"Give me one reason to make an impression on you."
"If you don't, I'll erase you from my memory."
"... so?"
"... so nothing!"
"Exactly! You can't give me any good reason to make an impression on you. Why should I bother! And I'm sure you have no reason to make an impression on me."

Mistress or Morality
If a hot guy/girl of the opposite sex, whom you like (have a crush on, whatever), and whom you know has a girlfriend/boyfriend, were to ask you out, would you say 'yes'?
.
:
And if your boyfriend/girlfriend were to ask someone out, how would you feel?

Mosquito Escape
Oct 2, 6 a.m.
Quiet again. Driven here by mosquitoes. Slightly cold. Birds chirping. Ground wet with dew. Airplane flying overhead, the only noise. I have been looking down till now. A red plane flies. It turns as I watch, the sound that of a base guitar. Still playing that one note, now shifting up, now back down, but still audible. Maybe its kingfisher, maybe air force. A withered feather lies near my leg. Them pesky mosquitoes have followed me here. Yet still this is sufficient an escape, this intro-nature, of the early morning. Another red plane files by, this one doesn't turn. The note still reverberates, now though it sounds like a car being started. Vroooom. Or maybe a mixer in the mess equipped with surround sound effects. This fallen plant here looks so out-of-place, while the little empty cigarette box on the floor is 'part of the landscape'. A single red-pink flower blossoms, staring out at me. Well I guess my 1000 characters are over, so I should move off. Silence. Bye.

The Pied Piper Hut
Oct 01, approx 8 p.m.
I've taken a walk to nearly the girls' hostel. Actually a bit further. I'm sitting under a tree with a streetlamp shining down. There is a weird low circular brick-ed thing that reminds me of my imagination of pied piper's cave. It is by and large silent, except for crickets.
Abrupt end.

You made my day
You just made my day. Even though its 230 a.m.
I had just been asking myself, "Why do you do this to yourself?!", but you rescued me from my worthlessness feeling.
Please, don't leave me.
Never let me go.

Soul Selling
From a friend:
The devil comes to you offering you a deal, that you will get all that you wish for, but in return you have to offer him the life of any person. That person will die instantly, painlessly, naturally.
Would you take up the offer?

What you're worth
It is not that I feel secure around You, just that I feel more insecure around others and more insecure when I am by myself. I am not independent, yet no one is worthy to support me. A symptom of the cant-live-with-ya-cant-live-without-ya syndrome.

Brave is Mad
Quote from The White Tiger: the he in the second line is 'supposedly brave and mad'.
"What are you doing here?"
"Voting," he shouted back. "Isn't it the election today?"
I cannot confirm what happened next, even though I was only a few feet behind him. A big crowd had gathered to watch him from a distance, but when the policeman charged at us, we turned and ran in a stampede. So I never saw what they did to that brave, mad man.
I heard about it the next day, while pretending to scratch a dirty spot out of a tabletop. Vijay and a policeman had knocked the rickshaw-puller down, and they had begun beating him; they hit him with their sticks, and when he thrashed at them they kicked him. They took turns. Vijay hit him and the policeman stamped on his face and then Vijay did it again. And after a while the body of the rickshaw-puller stopped wriggling and fighting back, but they kept stamping on him, until he had been stamped back into the earth.
"
Now being brave, is often being impractical. Which is, being mad. Being mad is basically showing off your eccentricity. It takes courage. So being mad is being brave.
Hence,
Being brave <=> Being mad.

Friendliness
A stranger's friendliness is directly proportional to how dynamic and dumb the stranger is and inversely proportional to how serious he takes his actions/morals etc.
